Title: the belmont debacle
Post by: gaz on June 10, 2004, 02:38:58 AM
watching the race from ideal seats
and looking at the so called competition,
it became clear, as i previously told everyone, and as most handicappers felt,
the only horse that could beat smarty
was smarty and/or his connections.

the ride on smarty,at least as far as
being close to suicidal fractions and
hanging in the 7 to 9 path was insane
to my observation, but i think ellot sensed he simply was riding the best horse.
fact is the horse was floundering in the stretch and weaving about  with shortening strides
my problem with servis is why this horse wasn\'t at belmont @least a week before
the race to gallop..note,he worked the horse
prior to the derby..
finally, regardless of the outcome,this
horse had the most rigorous campaign of all of his competiton, and simply lost to a rested horse who previously was trounced by
by s.j in kentucky.
what a downer.......
