In the midst of all this Kentucky Derby talk, a quick shoutout and big time \"Thank You\" to TG board member and serious Thorograph user \"Shanahan\" for everything on Ark Derby Day.
I was all over the place from the Carousel, to the third floor, to the grandstand seats, to the infield, and several stops in the tent Shanahan was gracious enough to let me be a part of during the day. It was a fantastic day (except at the windows for me) and I can\'t thank you enough.
FrankD and richiebee have said they may do a Bluegrass-ArkDerby Double next year, Live and in person, after driving down from NY! Here is to hoping they actually pull the trigger as they say! While other tracks may have better facilities or better racing, all the people at Oaklawn like Shanahan and his wife make going down there as enjoyable of a day at the races as you will ever find.
Thanks again Bill!!

Before Frank D hits the 2018 Derby trail, he has to make good on his threat to
visit Pimlico for the 2017 Preakness and then head north to Monmouth as part of a
\"Dying Racetracks\" tour.
Have also heard that Frank D is looking at lucrative job opportunities in Ohio as
Art Schlichter\'s bookmaker.
Would love to revisit Keeneland and OP, two of the more beautiful tracks one can
experience. How long has it been? last time I was at OP, Larry Snyder was leading
rider; last time I was at Kee, they hadn\'t gotten around to hiring a racecaller.
I spent 2 weeks at Northfield Park looking for him too !
