Good luck in the 9th

Thanks. Pulled a muscle rooting in Second City.
congrats , watching that race what else did you pull LOL

Watching those races can\'t be good for your long term health.
but can\'t be bad for your balance sheet
its race\'s like that , that keeps us coming back ( i was alive with the 5 in the double but for some crazy reason I was rooting for ya
Hey Jerry , again congrats, Its a shame the carry over was only 29k (tough sequence), some horse\'s didnt figure, what was your key to the pik 6 getting rid of Matt King Coal , Just curious

He obviously could win, but the winner was faster, loved the slop, cycling to a top, and a bigger price. He was my solid opinion on the card, if I didn\'t single him I couldn\'t play.
Andy says the parlay was 750k and I got robbed, but I\'ll take it. I was going back and forth with him throughout the day, told him I liked Second City, and about two bombs I thought could get into the exotics. Both went off 30-1, the one in the third got beat a neck, the other was the one in the pick six. He refuses to look at TG but I\'m working on him.
Nice hit. Congrats.
But serling is right. The late pick-4 was 46k. If there was a million in the pool, u still might have been the only winner. But a big win is a big win!
Jim
Congrats Jerry and thanks for the rationale on your play as I find that info always valuable as to one\'s mindset in making the decision to play a pick 6!
On an unrelated note, Andy has a serious bromance going with Travis Stone as he documented on Byk\'s show lol. Maybe he can help Travis with the basics of making a morning line before he leaves for Del Mar tomorrow?????? I couldn\'t resist......Stone a solid announcer no doubt but needs to keep working on the M/L skills.
congrats to you...I\'m just now reading the thread, assuming you had only tix. That is really something!
Can\'t wait to review the analysis tomorrow and wonder why you may have had the only one. But it ain\'t bragging if you did it! (Even if others are doing the bragging for you JB).
Edit:
Analysis had 4 of the 6 winners, including the $70 horse. Assume your knowledge of the wet surface possibilities added the other two after scratches?
TGJB - where does this rank amongst your big scores if I might ask?
Congrats not a bad holiday season..
It\'s co-biggest this year (the mandy payout at GP this spring was almost the exact same amount, though this also has some pick 5s).
I didn\'t do the analysis. On wet tracks I tend to like horses that figure to run well rather than ones that are just fast. Horses looking for an excuse to not try will find one with off tracks, high winds, extreme cold, and distance switches. That means horses off tops, ones on short rest off an efort, ones that look like they might be tailing off. (Similar to horses dealing with shipping to the BC).
The bomb in the sequence looked like he was ready to throw a good one, for him. There were several in the race with good figures (I went 5 deep in the pick 6) but questionable patterns. I thought he was much more likely to get into the exotics than win, and played the race accordingly (small win bet, heavy underneath). We\'ll see what the figures come up, my guess is most others did not fire.
Not a twitter person, so didn\'t know what was going on but a big congrats to
our host TGJB! I have only played a handful of pick sixes in 25 years (one win
at the spa) mostly because it is outside my comfort zone to play a big enough
ticket to have a legit shot. If you don\'t mind Jerry how much did you invest
and what was the construction of tickets? Single, multi,A,B,C format? Should
make for an extra happy holidays!!
Main ticket was $1440 singling Second City. Played a smaller side ticket singling the 2 in the first leg and Rudy in the Second City race. Started saving when I got to the last pick 3.
Jerry:
The bets on race after race a parlay would have placed would have dragged down the odds. Sleep well.
Something tells me Jerry is fully aware of that.
His only problem was the pool was too small to support a fair payoff. Might have been the only ticket in a 500k pool. That\'s always going to be an issue unless you only play big carryovers. Sounds like he got 40-1 (maybe a bit less, after savers) on the play, good enough to stuff a few stockings.
