Title: FRIDAY DEL MAR ANALYSIS
Post by: wrongway on November 25, 2016, 04:48:47 PM
I don\'t like to complain but analysis product should at least make sense.
Race 4 Best Bet # 3 w/p @ 6-1. #3 was 7/2 ML fav Off @ 3-1.
Race 6 Best Bet quote: a wide open affair, box 3 horses incl ML fav & 2nd fav
went Off at 4/5 & 2/1.
Race 8 Best Bet #8 to win/place @ 15-1. # 8 was 5/2 ML Fav, went off @ 5/2.
Useless.

Noticed the same thing -- especially race 8 comment. Maybe handicapper was distracted with family and turkey. The analysis for Thursday were much more on point though. The Friday analysis comments about the races made no sense today. Didn\'t send me in the wrong direction -- just made no sense. Ignored them.

Counterpoint

To begin with, I think the analysis product is useful. Further, the one in question a satisfactory example imo. My disclaimer is as I mentioned about the AQ no inquiry race I relate conceptually and not so much to a specific detail of two.  However, like any product it is only useful if it solves the customer\'s problem. That is... when it satisfies a user\'s needs so to speak. I wasn\'t the customer in this case! WrongWay & Strike were.

Like most of the readers herein I\'ve been thru the phase of doubting the analysis. I got over doubt with experience which led me to a greater perspective.

But to the essential disconnect - In the case of a mis-communication whose responsibility is it to relate to the message with understanding? I have this issue nearly every day. My wife and I realize we have a mis-communication but can\'t determine whether the cause is with the msg sender or receiver or?.

I have no desire to resist the WrongWay post in any way. I can only acknowledge what I perceive to be his disappointment. His dissatisfaction may be more literal than I can appreciate? An example of mis-understanding at its best follows: From Race #1 of the same DMR analysis.

Rosarita is erratic & takes steep class drop.

Avoid. Audra to win @ 5-1 & up.

3H box w/Mudge/Altaira. B

Audra went off at a useless 8/1. The Rosarita/Mudge exacta paid $38/1 for a plus 33 units after one race. My profit objective achieved I\'m out of here missing the exactas in the 2nd, 5th and 8th along with other winner(s).

I\'ve come to realize the meaning of my communication is the response that it gets. I\'ve also learned that my wife and I don\'t speak the same language but that doesn\'t keep us from getting along just fine. For me, if something doesn\'t make sense I know it is because I\'m missing information.

Tried to view Redboard Room but got this error message. Anybody else having this problem?

That\'s not an error message; it\'s a warning.  Just keep going.  Just worked fine for me.

First off, those annoyed with the Friday DMR analysis have reason to be. Let me explain what happened. It\'s an explanation not an excuse.

Del Mar does not publish its morning line until the day before the races. Other circuits generally publish their morning lines soon after the entry files are drawn often two days ahead of the races and in some cases sooner especially for holidays. Because we wanted to enjoy Thanksgiving with family the office was closed Thursday, and we handicapped Aqu, Cd and Dmr on Wednesday for Friday and for Aqu and Cd were able to utilize the official morning line but for Dmr, the official morning line wasn\'t available so we used a computer generated line which as downloaders can attest to was not very accurate at all and that resulted in some comments which were nonsensical. I thought the computer generated guesstimated line would be sufficient. It wasn\'t. I was wrong. It won\'t happen again.

We will reimburse all who purchased the DMR analyses for Friday.

Thank you for the explanation and even more so for the honesty.

It was more than a warning the first time I tried it. I attempted to view the Del Mar Analysis and the response was that no option was available. It works now, so I can\'t explain what was happening earlier. No longer a proble,.

Ok. I don\'t understand you either. Are you saying that you played Rosarita in spite of the Analysis recommendation to avoid? Or that you followed the Analysis but still cashed somehow?

Thanks JB for the explanation, no excuses necessary. I\'ve been a satisfied customer of the analysis product for many years and will continue to be one. I\'ve cashed many tickets I would\'ve never had without it. Happy Holidays to all.

Well, no complaints on Sunday with the $146 winner in the third at Del Mar. Not red boarding -- top selection by TG analysis. With the recent criticism, only fair to post this.
