I clicked through to this from Pull The Pocket and found it interesting.  It\'s a radio interview with professional horseplayer who talks about his betting strategies.  He bets primarily tris and supers in races with large fields at second tier tracks, looking to leave out vulnerable favorites.  Most of that is at the beginning of his interview.

He also talks later about takeout, rebates, TVG, track management, etc., but a lot of that ground has been covered here at length.

Two most interesting takeaways for me:

1.  He thinks that Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday have far more dead money in the pools b/c people are playing tracks they are not as familiar with via simulcast.  My dad and my best friend have maintained this stance for many, many years that during the week there are more opportunities than on the weekends.  I\'ve argued with them to no avail....maybe they are on to something.

2.  He DOESN\'T Prepare.  He thinks handicapping is a waste of time.  Minute 57.

Thanks for posting this.
