Title: Kentucky Downs -- Sunday 9th
Post by: SoCalMan2 on September 11, 2016, 03:26:24 PM
Interesting notes on siblings in this race ---

the 12 horse is lightly raced and with excuses.  His big brother just ran a bang up second on this course marathoning yesterday.  The little brother is 30-1 as I write this.  He might not be good enough to challenge for the top of the ticket, but he could land in the superfecta and make it interesting.

The Neil Drysdale trained Little Scotty is a half to proven turf router Little Mike.  Genetic and environmental considerations suggest this fellow can hit the super also (not to mention the nice buried figure move up last time out).  He is 8-1 as I write this.

Ha, timing! I was typing my endorsement for Little Scotty at the same time. Good luck us.

I assume that was Nessy. 50-1 and beaten less than a length for second and two noses for 3/4.  Tough beat if used in the super with the top horses.

Yep.  Rough nose.  thanks for the condolences.  Nessy is a full brother of Bullard\'s Alley who ran a good second the day before.  Had he got up for 4th (instead of 5th a nose back of 4th), I would have had $1.20 on the super....had to think it would have come back for more than $5k for $1.  Would have also had it if he had come in 3rd.
