Title: Final Saturday Seminar
Post by: Sean D on September 04, 2016, 03:44:52 AM
There was a good crowd on Saturday including Frank D, Top Cat, Magicnight, Belmont3 and NC Tony.

1st race - TGJB had the winner - 2nd turf and was the horse to beat

2nd race - TGJB was against the Pletcher on the rail and was unsure about the 3\'s last race when the owner of the horse who was standing behind TGJB chimed in and explained how the last race should be thrown out. Surprise - he was right.

5th race - Jockey race. TGJB had the winner in the mix- off a top with plenty of rest.

10th race - Against Frosted. Did not understand why he was in this race, especially with Mubtaajh entered  - thought play was to keep him out of trifecta - Just missed for a big payoff.

11th race - Winner was one TGJB would like to own. Thought Guazapa was likely winner and also liked Arles.

12th race - Gave out the Cold Exacta - 2 and 4 for a good finish to the day.

Congrats to Frank D for a big day with his posted picks of Inspector Lynley and Shamans Ghost.

The Backyard was full including a visit from Charles Simon.

The day was beautiful - hopefully two more as storm has shifted to the East.

There was a FrankQuake in the Backyard yesterday afternoon.

The tremors were actually felt Friday when Frank D pointed out Shamans Ghost as his play of the meet. (subsequently posted the pick).

Frank arrived with his cooler full of food and beverages and departed with it full of green! (no Iceberg or Bibb for Frank....it was the US Mint kind of green).

Heard this Quake registered a new top on the Uncle Bill Backyard Richter Scale.
In fact, it was tweeted that this FrankQuake could be felt from DelMar to Fairmount Park to Living Room Downs somewhere on Staten Island. Rumor has it , Richiebee\'s beer even spilled!

For those not acquainted with Frank D., he has been a Charter Member of the Backyard and a great handicapper. Fearlesss at the windows, he is a \"player\".

Congrats Frank!!
