Despite the shorter card and a few small fields, Alan still bounced from Saturday\'s Seminar Top which a local clocker said was a new TG track record.
Clearly, the new top set him back. TGJB always cautions that you should never run back on short rest after a new top. May have dire circumstances down the road.
So, the question is can TGAB recover?
Sunday:
1) Fri st solid opinion was to play Monster Mash to bounce. Alan like the 4 as a long shot and felt the winner was cycling back to a top but no sure thing. Sold opinion.
2) As both TGAB and TGJB often say, a negative opinion can be more valuable than a positive one.
In this race, Ala was negative on #2 Pletcher at 3-1 ML. Liked the #7 as a long shot and noted the #8 was cycling back. Wrong long shot!!
3)See Fairmount. Alan was ok #4 Saharan pointing out the 2 1/2 was fastest number in the race. Fairmount chirped up at that point that there was a BIG or HUGE discrepancy in the DRF # for Saharan and the TG number.
Maggie was spot on on the Goldberg (panned the horse based on paddock appearance) as he pretty much eased and Saharan made for a big Smiley for Fairmount.
5) #5) was fastest . #1 \"Nice Line\" #4 Bagema- long shot. VERY SOLID Opinion here.
6) and 7) normal maiden discussions. Alan liked the Mott a.e. that drew in in the 6th
8) Again a negative opinion on Pletcher #1. He is \"Ouchy\" . Great Stuff was \'fastest\" Good work there!
9) Alan thought the 2 was live, the 3 would run and Chad was fast with the #10
Also, #6 Wild About Harry --\"possible new top\" .
10) Best opinion of the day.
\"Most likely winner\" #8 Fair Point. (5-1)
With negativity on #1 and a bit on #10 who was obviously \"fast\"
No opinions on the 11th.
Well after 2 days with Fairmount and a 4 hour drive home, this is how I remember it.
Another great weekend with Uncle Bill.
Hope I get to meet more TGenerates closing weekend!!
Good Luck
Bob
