Title: Siro's Seminar
Post by: FrankD. on August 21, 2016, 05:36:36 AM
The new TG seminar home broke it\'s maiden with a stakes caliber number for sure. The staff was very welcoming and asked several times if we needed anything, a pleasant change from the bums rush to get out of the carousel. It was spacious, quiet, JB could be heard clearly without having to talk over PA announcements and replays. 20 something were in attendance with some new faces. Some topics discussed were how spot on the money has been for this entire meet, when it shows they run. Nearly every single Chad Brown turf runner has at least paired their top, most now have a new one. One theory from a left coast TG house guest was superior nutrition. Uncle Bill was so inspired by this theory he\'s given up Italian carbohydrate delights in favor of rice and beans topped with alfalfa sprouts.Track John who had been up in Lake George all week with a herd of his wife\'s relatives required a pass to come to the track so I wrote him one and even had Jerry sign it to make it official.

Gambling wise not a great day for any, what else is new here? A reversal in the Fourdtardave would have changed many days but you can\'t expect a take down on a gate infraction. A Lot was definitely bothered, was further back than he probably would have been and ran his eyeballs out for the final 1/2 mile.

JB had the 2nd race exacta, Scout Leader was a horizontal single in the 4th, Disco Partner was in the mix in the 5th with preferences to the 7 & 11,         Favorable Outcome was one of 2 to use in the 7th and Orino was one of 2 to use in the 11th.

Belmont 3 made the bakery run for the day, Sean is off the vets list and after a 20 foot breeze handily was allowed back on the track, Mathcapper, Track John,
(with pass) Magicnight, Top Cat, St Moritz Bill and Rezlegal were all live. The Philadelphia fillies were a no show, our yearly KY backyard delegation has been in town all week 20 strong and the Utica weekend crew filled out our little corner of the world!

I\'m declaring today a mental health recovery day and I also need to dig up my yard before it rains to locate my diminishing supply of coffee cans. An inch or more of rain heading in late afternoon I don\'t think they will get through the card without getting wet. 3 of the last 4 races are on the grass so buyer beware as T-storms will be here between 5 and 6.

Good luck,

Frank D.
