Title: Head Scratch Ride of the day
Post by: jbelfior on August 05, 2016, 06:33:46 PM
Nominating Castellano\'s ride on Strike Midnight. Let\'s take the horse\'s best weapon away in exchange for tucking in to save ground in a paceless race. Brilliant.

Good Luck,
Joe B

Joe,

You thought Strike Midnight would be on the lead?

Giant Run was clearly the speed in the race.  (and clearly wasn\'t good enough)

Strike Midnight was exactly where he figured to be in looking at the PPs.  Either 2nd or 3rd early, depending on whether Airoforce showed his \"on again\" \"off again\" early speed.

STrike Midnight was on my pick-4 ticket, along with Giant Run and Airoforce, and I thought Castellano gave me a good ride.

Still don\'t know the 9 won that race with that trip, off that slow pace.

But that only cost me a few bucks.  There is a board regular, who shall go unnamed unless he chooses to mention it, that was cost a nice 20k score in the pick-4 by the 9 getting up.  Ouch.

I was sitting next to him...I thought that I had a tough day yesterday when Rosario\'s DQ cost me $9k (P-5)...BUT...his handicapping had been solid...only takes ONE to get it back!

Jimbo:
No, not on the lead but a length or two off of Giant Run. Why is Castellano closing on Camelot in the lane instead of being ahead of him?

As for the winner, please don\'t get me started on Chad Brown.

Good Luck,
Joe B

That unlucky nameless $%^&*(#@ also had a 1/2 exacta box in the last just for icing on the cake!

A little bit of overnight rain at the Spa, it just poured for 20 minutes at my house 20 minutes from the track but Uncle Bill didn\'t get wet setting up the chairs. The rest of the day looks clear as anything that comes will stay south of the track.

Good luck,

Frank D.
