In a maverick moment, I left CC out of my pick 4, favoring Dortmund and the horse to the outside of CC. It\'s only 1 1/16, and CC is super fast, but he was in Europe and may have Chromexit issues.
Even if I get there now that I hit the first leg (1, 3, 5, 8, 9, WT, 3, 4, 5, 7, 10, WT, 2, 7, WT, 10), I would have to survive a single in the last, so I am not holding my breath
I am more interested in the CC drama unless I catch a price in the next leg (8th)
Wait there\'s more. One race earlier, I had all in the first leg of the P-3 and so caught a shocker lightweight longshot winning by half a pole at 23-1, but because I tried to steal the P-3 with a single in the next (3, who lost to Mokat, who was VERY impressive and had run pretty well against Songbird on dirt), I have to hang my hopes on this little P-4.
Just curious if anyone is on the board if there\'s a thought about CC. He probably wins for fun...
Leamas
He has trained really well and has been given sufficient time since Dubai. I expect a solid effort. Gamblers swing for the fences. There is nothing wrong with that.
I just got knocked out by the 8 horse in a photo over the 7 (14:1). It would have made the CC race a little more interesting.
Thanks, Silver.
Leamas
If it makes you feel better Leamas, I had the leg 2 winner in my pick 4. Unfortunately I didn\'t use your 9 in leg 1. I did use chrome as a single on my tickets.
Patrick
Smith goes from Hopportinity to Win The Space. Stevens goes from Win The Space to Dortmund.
Interesting Baffert seems to prefer Stevens to Smith on a front runner and vice versa.
Patrick:
Been some exciting racing today. I just saw that The pick six was missed with two races to go...And the P-4 will-pays going into the last mean that I was wrong to try and beat CC on the basis of payoff alone. I assumed it wouldn\'t pay enough, but Worst payoff for .50 is $520 and they get much higher. As it is, Dortmund almost got there, so I don\'t feel too bad.
Leamas
I\'m kicking myself Leamas. I tried to be cute and only go 2 deep in the first leg. My pick 4 ticket was only $24, which I punched multiple times. I should have went with a bigger spread in the opening leg. $780 was quite the payout! All was not lost though. I had exactas in the 8th and 10th along with a few tri\'s in the 10th. I\'m still kicking myself for being cheap on my pick 4 though! Good luck tomorrow!
