Hey Phillywheel,

You came with a $53 horse and maybe 4 out of 5, with a 1-2 shot that stunk up the joint as your only loser heading into the last leg.

That\'s what makes this a tough came.  Have a $53 winner and don\'t get paid.

Red-boarding is pointing out a winner after the race, often in a self congratulatory way.  I guess your post was a \"quasi-redboard\" not that it matters.  You were pointing out \"tremendous value\" and what an overlay the winner was, AFTER THE FACT.

For a much more detailed and articulate explanation of red-boarding, please use the search engine to find any of Chuckles the Clown posts about the Derby from about 2005 to 2011 or so.  From memory i believe Chuckles correctly nailed 22 of the last 26 Kentucky Derby winners (about one of them before the race............

Good luck,

Jim

Philly,

My last post was an attempt to be nice and move on.  But I guess you wont\' let me.

What you wrote was:

the 4 hrs at 5-1 was a gift ,I thought he would have been 1st or 2nd choice 3-1 atthe most

Calling out a winner after the race and calling it a \'gift\" is something that works better elsewhere.

If you really don\'t realize what you wrote and what it means, the chances of you beating a complicated game, with a tremendously large take out, trainers that use \"edges\" and the use \"X Factor of jockey decisions, is really asking a lot.

I wish you good luck with it.

Jim

TGJB,

Have you met Miff?  Every two years we have an argument and don\'t speak for a year. (usually about nonsense like interpretation of a race after the fact)

His \"steaming\" can last.....  :)
