Tickets for the June 11, 2016 Belmont Stakes are still available for purchase on Ticketmaster or at Belmont Park's gate. On Belmont Stakes day, general admission is $20 online and $25 at the gate while clubhouse admission is $50 online and $60 at the gate. Neither have seating access, but limited reserved seating options are left starting at $140. Good luck getting them. Of course that\'s cheap compared to what Churchill rips people off for the Derby.
I can remember when I got to see Secretariat, Affirmed and Seattle Slew win the TC for just 2 bucks, and this included the best seats in the house - first row grandstand between the eight and sixteenth pole. Just had to get there early. That\'s when tracks were content with their share of the huge betting take.
Ahh, those were the days.
