TG has Justin Squared slower than 5 others, 3 of them by 4pts. or more, while Rags have him tied with Never Gone South and otherwise faster than the others coming in. Alibi\'s to come.
Rough race. We\'ll never know. The rail does look puddly. JS hustled out to get position 2 to 3 off.
never know what? That seemed pretty obvious to me.
Never Gone South checked hard as well as some others.
One speed horse in the race and Geroux is 10 lengths back off a :46 half, geez.
I\'ll let others discuss whether they think there was trouble in the race, but I\'ll ask you (and Touchgold), did you look at them and us for the 6th? Just askin\'.
I did not...on either...playing races 10-13.....4 looked strong on both last race...damn baffert...
You can look at that race in the RBR tomorrow, see if you can get a look at theirs.
I will, and ill try.
I have been looking at both today and, to your credit, I think you guys are having a better day where there\'s a significant discrepancy. I didn\'t buy the Analysis so not sure how you handicapped the 9th. JS had a good chance to go forward while some of the others all had faster tops but choppy lines.
As for the 6th, I had Merango Road only because Gabby liked him. Your dirt 5\'s didn\'t exactly mean he\'d back them up on the turf.
Correct, he didn\'t have to. But his grass races were in line, and he had two of the three fastest numbers in the race. On Jake he was absolutely impossible, way slow and backward moving. Hopeless, a total throwout.
And now there\'s Takeover Target, too.
well, takeover target looked strong to me on sheets...4 yr old...with a pair of tops.....might have been a point slower than a few, but they had knocks...8 year old, and horse off a layoff....not sure who wouldnt of used him playing the sheets....
He was MUCH slower relative to the field on Jake. Of the ones who had run on grass only one had a slower top. On TG his last three all gave him a shot, two of them gave him a big shot, great pattern. No comparison.
He had a dirt 10 at 2 which was competitive but honestly, on their sheets and yours none of them looked good enough to bet with any conviction. It was a messy race form wise. What\'d your analysis pick?
This one is yours. Much easier to sort them out with your figs than theirs. Good job.
interesting read...much slower as in a point?..now, im not talking about the horses who scratched....but in general, to me, ill take a horse going forward, younger, over older horses, who may at some point run faster, but are just as more likely to run what takeover target had been running....its true at some point in most of the other horses in race career, they had run much faster....however, im handicapiing on what they will run today....the fav in race last 2 were within a point of TT...the 2 horse was 8 yr old off layoff...the 5 was off an effort its reacted from...3 off big jump...ring weekend off year layoff...wasnt really hard at all to play him...did i play him big? no....did i use him in pics 3s..yes...as ive said before, ive used both products, have done well with both..in the end, it comes down to how you read the patterns..i played TT to move forward again based on pattern.....I see on sheet board, someone liked the 5...i really didnt...
Stronger than Conquest Typhoon? 4 year old, a point faster, paired his top in his last and almost three times the price? Brown\'s figs made this race pretty easy.
sorry..I am talking about the 12th race...not the 9th....
So am I.
4 horse tri and super box, hit the tri but not the super.
Let me know what you think about him after you see the RBR tomorrow.
I was extremely glad I purchased the thorograph today. Right off the bat a $21 winner. A lot of awesomeness today. I will definitely use for the Belmont.
Had the Preakness too pretty good. I knew after yesterday I had to play romans horse.
anyone who doesnt play roman......well
You\'re a good handicapper. I hated the race.
