This isn\'t TG related, and its a track many don\'t play or watch, but its close to home and I can\'t take it anymore.
For the love of God, someone get that young lady the hell out of the announcers booth at GGF. I swear, I would rather listen to Mike Batagglia than her. I would ask how on earth she got the job, but I shudder to think what some of you would say to that question.

Yeah it is a shame. I too like GGF betting but unfortunately she is too much to take. She has this whispering conversational style that evokes absolutely zero enthusiasm for the race set up. With some seasoning, possibly...but no. I feel sorry for her (and for her audience). I admit, after your post I looked to see if her last name was Stronach.
I was going to post something similar last week but being Derby week, it did not feel proper. But yes, yes oh my God yes please find somebody else. It literally sounds like someone gave a tape of a past horse race to a racing novice and asked her to describe what is happening in her own words. It is sad too because it\'s not the poor girl\'s fault.....she should have never been put in a spot like this. What I wouldnt give for a \"and therrrre they gooooo\" right now. And that\'s coming from an Easterner.
I like to play GG, agree it\'s horrific. How does someone get that gig, in what by all accounts is one of the most competitive job markets in the world, with zero talent?
Yesterday she was clamoring about the back of the field and completely missed the action going on up front in the top of the stretch- by the time she got back to calling the actual action that mattered, she completely missed that the speed was over taken, and called the wrong horse who was running alone by about 6 lengths twice before she realized what was going on, painful.
I refuse to play Golden Gate because of her. She is that terrible at her job. Part of experience of wagering on horses is the excitement of the race. I could spend hours watching old races with Tom Durkin calling them. In his prime, he could make the race.
This woman is incompetent and completely ruins the racing experience. No thanks Golden Gate.
I would like their to be a good female race caller, she ain\'t it, at least yet. Meanwhile, Stauffer isn\'t calling races.
I suggest the mute button for most race callers, you don\'t need them . You\'ll see more without that distraction.

JB,
Vic\'s the first one I think of when a job comes up. He used to work up here. When I see some of the dreadful \"talent\" across the country, it baffles me why he can\'t find a gig.
Sek,
You are spot on, she completely ruins the experience.
Boscar,
I couldn\'t agree more, my computer or tv are always on mute except when Maggie comes on. Live via tv monitor, in seats or through the binocs I\'m watching the race and the caller is just background noise. If I\'m not focused on my horse or horses I\'m watching back to front anyways.
and Tony Calo has been relegated to Finger Lakes- he was the voice- a good one- of Northern California for years.
Tony Calo, with his annoying fake voice, grates on me more than any race caller.
Sorry Rez.
P-Dub It\"s pay back for throwing Big Island under the bus in favor of Maui.
