Title: Dallas Stewart
Post by: hotspringskid on April 30, 2016, 08:00:32 PM
Can we ignore Tom\'s Ready for the exotics? He\'s not exactly awesome on number power, but let\'s not forget Golden Soul and Commanding Curve at long odds. Of course someone on this board did mention Commanding Curve was a very good play that year! He gets them to run their best on the first Saturday in May.

I believe the horses you mentioned were much faster than Tom. This one just looks way to slow to me. I guess we\'ll find out in the seminar.

Don\'t forget Tale of Verve. (Preakness)

How can you ignore him?

Commanding Curve was easy enough to key given his sheet but Golden Soul needed a 4 pt jump and Tale of Verve improved 9 points.

The only thing those three had in common was never running good again after the Derby,Preakness(Tale o Verve)

If it wasn\'t Dallas Stewart he\'d be an easy toss.

Tom\'s Ready is slow coming in like Golden Soul with similar #\'s.

He has six weeks and his last work was solid.
Bottom of the pedigree has Broad Brush and the 4th and 5th dams won at classic distances so he might be okay with another furlong.

He\'d need to improve a few to hit the board.

He\'s one of my tosses, because I don\'t think he wants more ground.  On top of being consistently slow, in the three FG stakes this spring, he was losing ground to all of the horses around him at the wire.   He\'s a nice miler.
