Title: Gotham Day Revenge
Post by: FrankD. on April 30, 2016, 12:02:41 PM
With a couple of minutes to post I shouldn\'t hurt myself here.

We all remember the Mother of all rail/speed bias\'s on March 5th. Today is pay day from that day.

Picco Uno ran wide than wider in the lane chasing a run away 3/5 rail speedster that day to finish 3rd at 4/1. Today he is the 4th choice in an 8 horse field facing NYB garbage with Jackie Davis riding the head case of a favorite who stood still in the gate her last 2 races when it opened. The 9 horse has one number earned in the mud and the 1 though fresh and with Jose Ortiz has had his chances.
The 1 and Rudy firster the 2 horse are my only worries. I\'ll make exacta\'s back and forth and make a pretty good win bet on Picco.

In the 7th Rally Cry comes back from a wasted effort chasing Laoban from the outside in the Gotham. He will be too short for a win bet for me so I\'ll make exacta\'s with Groupthink & Sea Raven reversing for a small amount.

Good luck,

Frank D.

Hi Frank,

Using all the March 5th runners against the insane sp/rail but not cashing, hopefully one will break thru.

Let me ask the obvious question. If the ones who were against the \"bias\" aren\'t running better, is it possible it was really a save-ground bias?

JB,

The first 4 races that day were all wire to wire, garbage races with stick out favorites going coast to coast. No one who has watched a race or 2 was screaming bias. In the 5th that day Carlos Martin had one adding blinkers got to the fence and re broke out in the stretch. Any doubts were put to rest in the 6th with Aaron Gryder whipping out of the gate and going coast to coast re breaking again in the stretch with a $100 horse.

Depends on your personal take but Mar 5th is poster child for \"giant inside/speed bias. Can\'t draw any other conclusion watching the races and replays.

I\'m all over the 7 in the 9th. Somewhat surprised his odds have drifted up.

I\'m with you.  But Castellano is off him to ride for Chad ont he #1.  No other reason I can see.
I have the 7, 11 to end it.  dilger/JV quite appealing.

I took that into consideration, but the numbers don\'t lie:). I\'m using your 11 as well, along with the 4 and 8 to hopefully add some spice to the exotics. Good luck!
