Title: RIP Jeff Lukas
Post by: FrankD. on March 24, 2016, 03:18:12 PM
Jeff Lukas passed away and there is a great Barbara Livingston photo album on DRF from the 80\'s about him.. He was quite a horseman in his own right, very well respected before Tabasco Cat kicked him in the head ruining a potential great career.

Jeff is my age and I knew him a bit from the Spa in those days. He hung with some friends of mine, loved to jet ski on Saratoga Lake and nights at the Rafters for those who remember that great club with the deck lakeside. Dallas Stewart was a big part of that young party crew as well at the time.

In the 80\'s D.Wayne had quite a crew in his barns across the land Dallas, Randy Bradshaw, Mark Henning and a couple of guys named Pletcher and McLaughlin. To a man they will all tell you that Jeff was as good or better as any of them.

RIP Jeff the past 20 or so years were very difficult since that horrible accident.

No doubt about it Frank. I was saddened to hear the news. As tough as Wayne can be this one really breaks him down. 20 years ago he lost his business partner and best friend. Today he lost his Son. It\'s a tough day
